About the Provider
In a culture that praises Mothers for their strength I believe the value of a Mother should never be measured by their ability to endure adversity. A fulfilling Motherhood journey centered in joy and balance is your birthright. Life of Honey Women’s Collective provides care that will ensure you have the knowledge, tools and community to thrive in Motherhood. I am a Brooklyn native, reproductive justice activist, and conscious parent. As a full spectrum motherhood doula I address maternal health disparities and the challenges of motherhood by providing physical, emotional, and spiritual support to birthing people and their families. I believe: Birth is a sacred experience where autonomy and empowerment are of the utmost importance. Every person should have the tools and support they need to thrive on their parenting journey, from preconception to postpartum and beyond. Finding balance between nurturing ourselves and caring for our children is necessary for the mental health and spiritual wellbeing of our families. My journey began in 2018, after giving birth to my son, when obstetric violence and postpartum mood and anxiety disorder (PMAD) made a deep impact in my life. The difficulties I faced finding the support I needed to heal from that trauma motivated me to become a Doula. I trained with Ancient Song Doula Services to bridge the gaps in reproductive care and end the violence birthing people experience far too often. Using my experience as a Mother and my skills in movement, nutrition, herbal medicine and mental health I offers services that focus on laying a strong foundation for Motherhood by centering knowledge, nourishing support, and community. I also served as the Training Coordinator at Ancient Song Doula Services, supporting the revolutionary education and mentorship of future birth workers. As my journey evolves, I plan to become a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) and build The Hive Community Center, a truly safe space offering evidence based holistic reproductive care and community for BIPOC, QTBIPOC, LGBTQIA2S+ and Polyamorous communities in NYC.
