About the Provider
Hi all! I am motha eartha, a holistic birth companion. I wish to collaborate with families that are in harmony with living a holistic lifestyle.
I consider myself a multifaceted being, who is authentically living and constantly evolving. I enjoy experiencing new flavours, traveling the world and adventures in nature. I believe you live life to the fullest by listening to your intuition and staying balanced by living a holistic, sustainable lifestyle.
Helping others has always been a passion of mine especially when it comes to the youth, the elderly and the less fortunate. This has been a guiding force while exploring young adulthood. As a youth I participated in many activities that involved giving back to the community. At university I continued to be active in the community by creating + implementing programs focusing on youth development and empowerment.
During my time at Howard University, I studied health science and graduated with my B.S. in May of 2019. While in undergrad I had many new ventures, explored into the world and broadened my views + reality. This is where my love for nature grew tremendously and living a natural lifestyle became my norm.
I continued my studies in holistic health and progressed into birth work later that year. I went on to receive training from Mama Glow, the NBDA, ubuntu wellness academy, and the smudged life. This past summer of 2021 I traveled to Africa to expand my perspective on birth traditions. Throughout our stay in Nigeria we studied with traditional midwives and experienced ancestral birth practices native to the land.
While practicing in birth work I have learned community is key to ushering in a healthy baby earth side, patience is a virtue, and embodiment is a state of being. As a birth keeper (also known as a doula) I have developed skill and continuously acquire experience in holistic health, full spectrum birth support and midwifery. Over time I have expanded my knowledge on aromatherapy, acupressure and massage, plant medicine, meditation, yoga, energy work, and sound therapy. I support bipoc families, my mission is to build a support system, a network, a village.
