Edine is a licensed midwife in New York and New Jersey with a deep passion for birth equity and reproductive justice. Her journey began after experiencing birth trauma with her first child, which led her to become a full-spectrum doula and later earn her midwifery degree from SUNY Downstate. Subsequently she experienced an empowering home birth with her second child with a midwife. She brings years of experience supporting families in both hospital and home birth settings, always centering culturally competent, personalized care. Through Ubuntu Midwifery, Edine is committed to building a supportive village where every birthing person feels empowered, respected, and heard.
