About the Provider

I come to birth work carrying the wisdom of my great-great-grandmother Susan Summers-Irons, a Gullah Geechee granny midwife whose legacy flows through my bloodline and guides my practice. Over nine years of supporting families in New York City and beyond, I've deepened my understanding through studies across the United States and work with traditional midwives in the Andes, where I witnessed birth held in its most sacred form. My practice is rooted in providing families with educated options and honoring each mother's autonomy to make informed choices that feel right for her and her family, whether birthing at home, in hospital, or in birth centers.

I believe that when families are supported with respect, education, and culturally-centered care, they can make empowered decisions that create positive outcomes for generations. My commitment is to provide compassionate, evidence-based support while honoring each family's unique cultural background and birth preferences. Whether supporting home births, hospital births, or birth center experiences, I hold each family's journey with deep reverence, providing education and advocacy while respecting their choices and celebrating the strength within every birthing person's experience.
