My passion is supporting new families as they grow. This delicate, beautiful time is so full of questions and needs...real physical, emotional, practical, and nutritional needs that are sadly under-recognized in our society, especially in communities of color. I aim to stand in the gap and help new families THRIVE as they learn & love their new bundle of joy. I meet the needs of my clients by listening to them and offering evidence-based and ancestral wisdom so they can see what fits for their family. This may look like sharing newborn feeding cues & other communication techniques, providing infant care while parents rest, shower, or connect with older siblings, counseling on different nursing positions, listening to pregnancy & birth stories with empathy, and providing connections to other maternal health professionals. It's very fluid and catered to your needs during that visit. As you get more comfortable and feel more healed, my role may end with return to work tips or meal prep ideas or the balancing of sibling needs. My overall goal is for you to feel nurtured and "held" during this tender time.
