I’m a 32 year old Afro-Dominican woman from the Bronx. I began this doula journey because I felt  called to do this it’s in my ancestry. My great grandmother was a partera in Dominican Republic and although I never met her it connects me back to her. I’m so grateful to be doing this work to be able to provide continuous physical, emotional support as well as education and advocacy for birthing people. My intention is to help guide and protect the birth experience for laboring person/ couple in any and every setting to help establish bonding between birthing people and their babies.
