Uptown, Baby! is proudly presented through a collaboration between BxReBirth and Progress, Doulas en Español, Maryam Clinic, and The Bridge Community Foundation, organizations deeply rooted in the Bronx and unwavering in their commitment to maternal health, dignity, and justice.

Together, we are honored to host a first-of-its-kind maternal health fundraising gala in the Bronx on the eve of Black Maternal Health Week, raising critical funds while centering the leadership, wisdom, and power of Bronx-based and Bronx-centered organizations who have long been doing the work to address maternal health disparities.

Each organization brings a distinct lens: community-based care, culturally responsive health services, doula and midwifery support, language justice, advocacy, and healing-centered practice, united by a shared belief: every pregnant person deserves care that is safe, affirming, and rooted in respect.

For too long, narratives about maternal health in the Bronx have been shaped without us. Uptown, Baby! reclaims that story and we choose to celebrate the brilliance, resilience, and leadership that already exists here, and invest in solutions led by the community, for the community.
